Ribbon Walk 2025: Our Most Successful Year Yet

On May 3, Cancer Services held our annual Ribbon Walk at our main location in Fort Wayne. We are so excited to share that Ribbon Walk raised $121,083 to support our mission!

Despite the chill in the air, we were joined by over 500 dear friends, including MAJIC 95.1’s Andy Beckman and their Weenie Wagon, State Bank’s Give Truck, and Chick-Fil-A, all generously donating food to keep the Ribbon Walkers energized.

Attendees honored loved ones on the Ribbon Board, and kiddos had plenty of fun activities to do in the Chalk Zone. For those wanting to try out a calm, full-body exercise, facilitator Celeste Motherwell provided Tai Chi demonstrations.

Meanwhile, inside the building, Emily Borkholder encouraged kids and adults to make some noise with drum circle demonstrations. Participants in the Photographs of Meaning group shared an exhibit showcasing the expressive photographs they worked so hard on throughout the workshop.

When the time came, everyone walked the just-under-a-mile route to support people with cancer and remember those they’ve lost to cancer.

Thank you so much to all team captains, fundraisers, donors, and sponsors for working hard to keep practical, emotional, and financial supports available for families in Northeast Indiana.

Congratulations to the Top 5 Teams!

  1. Heart & Sole: $9,074 raised
  2. Team LaDonna: $4,314
  3. Dianne’s Dawdlers: $3,571
  4. Prostate Warriors: $3,358
  5. Team Tracy: $2,895

Your gift towards the Ribbon Walk means local families dealing with cancer can continue to get help through healthcare supplies and equipment, mental health counseling, support groups, nutrition consultations, wellness programs, massages, financial assistance, and so much more.

Your care and concern for your neighbors with cancer is inspiring. Thank you!
