What We Do
Alan Clayton, a certified Tai Chi instructor and 19-year student of the art will instruct you in this ancient Chinese exercise. Its purpose is to use slow movements to relax the body and mind, improve balance and breathing, and strengthen the cardiovascular and immune systems. Open to the community at no charge.

JANUARY – Tai Chi for Cancer and Memory:
Studies have shown that Tai Chi improves memory and brain health. Dr. Paul Lam and his team have merged medical research and Chinese medicine to create an easy to learn program. It is especially useful for people with memory loss, Alzheimer’s disease, or similar conditions. It is also designed to prevent these conditions.
FEBRUARY -Tai Chi for Cancer and Heart Conditions:
Tai chi is shown by medical studies to improve most health conditions. Dr. Paul Lam’s team at the Tai Chi for Institute have incorporated medical research and traditional Chinese medicine into the ancient art of Tai Chi to create an effective program to help prevent or improve most heart conditions, as well as improve balance, immunity, and relaxation.
MARCH\APRIL – 24 Posture Therapeutic Qigong:
Although Qigong (Qi – breath or life force; Gong – exercise or work = breath work) is considered by many to be over 4,000 years old, the 24 Posture Therapeutic Qigong was created in 1958 as a modern exercise combining Chinese medicine and martial arts. The Village of Healing and Wellness provides instruction in this easy, made for anyone, standing or seated form of healing exercise. Join Alan as he teaches the postures in a fun and relaxed way!
